Why can’t the best weight loss plan be just like cooking water, less complicated and easy to do? I have been from one weight loss plan to another until I have finally found out what’s wrong. I have been following other’s plan and instead, I should formulate the best weight loss plan for myself!

The best weight loss plan is a personal choice. A particular routine may not work for you due to many personal reasons. I find that working with other people make me feel less interested like a personal gym instructor hovering like a helicopter. I preferred a more individual approach as in I want people to leave me alone. Don’t take me as a sociopath but I just like doing things at my own pace and at my own time. I don’t believe in rushing into things like a seven day diet plan or a 5 day fast diet routine. I would rather take it slowly and surely.

  • Take in fewer calories. Generally fewer calories mean fewer calories to burn. It doesn’t mean you have to starve yourself. You can eat low calorie foods as much as you want. Learn to read labels and pick foods that are low calorie, low sugar and less salt content. The foods that you would be glad to know that you can still eat as much as you want are fruits and vegetables. Fruits can be eaten on its own or prepared as a salad topped with your favorite non fat ice cream. Crunchy veggies are my favorite; you can eat carrots and celery without cooking them. I can prepare a wicked low fat chicken salad with light dressing and pineapples. The taste and the experience of eating are still there even if you have a strict diet.   • Engage on a cardio workout plan as a part of your own best weight loss plan. You can rent or purchase a workout DVD to exercise at home or would you rather do swimming, tennis, jogging or cycling instead. All of these can make your heart pump faster, increasing your metabolism and giving you more energy everyday; and the best thing of all you can burn as much calories you want while you enjoy yourself.
  • Stop smoking; you will have increased lung capacity after a day without cigarettes. Just think about how your lungs can recover within a week or a month? Stop drinking alcoholic beverages as well; these have high caloric amounts that can set you off your diet with just a single drink. Alcohol also retards the brain making you less likely to function for any fitness activity.
